Dribble to Stop Diabetes

The National Basketball Association has always prided themselves in offering their help and services to the community and people in need. The NBA cares foundation was set up in October of 2005 and to this day has managed to raise over 210 million dollars and clock more than 2 million hours of hand on community service. One of the partnerships that the foundation has is with the American Diabetes Association, in which they raise awareness, funds and courage for potential, current and past victims of this growing disease.
The partnership consists of the NBA, NBA developmental league, and the WNBA. With the efforts of their sponsors including Andre Iguodala of the Philidelphia 76ers who appeared in the short clip, he and his team try to help raise awareness of the disease. Diabetes affects many people on a daily basis, and by the year 2050, a projected 1in every 3 people in america will have some form of the disease.
We all need to do our part to help this cause and will continue the fight for as long as it takes, but the NBA can't do it on their own. They need the help of people around the country as well. For more information, please visit the NBA Dribble to stop Diabetes home page, there you will find more interviews, photos, and tests. Lets help the cause and do our part for others in need.
