Polar Plunge!

Hello Everyone! Well its finally time to show off your beach bods! O wait, I'm being informed that it is still winter. Well I will not be using that as an excuse and neither should anyone else! Especially because this is The Polar Plunge! The Polar Plunge is a great event where people can jump, or just stand an watch as brave individuals jump into freezing cold water! Every individual gathers donations in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for the Special Olympics and their athletes. All the proceeds from this event go directly to them.
For the past week, events like the one being held in Whitewater on February 16th have been taking place all around Wisconsin and even further around the United States. This is a fabulous way to get involved with an amazing tradition as well as raise money for an even more amazing group of individuals.
There are sign up sheets in a few places around campus, but the easiest way would be to sign up directly at the University Center help desk. We are asking that each jumper raise around 75 dollars, but more is even better. For those who wish to donate but are "too chicken" to jump, you may still sign up to watch and collect donations as well. Every little bit counts.

Below is a link with more information about the event, as well as registration for the ambitious! Come out and help this great cause!
